Franck Ribery has joined Fiorentina on a free transfer after departing Bayern Munich at the end of last season.

Fiorentina had confirmed the arrival of the French winger’s on their official website, appending that he will be exhibited at the press conference on Thursday, before his official unveiling at the Stadio Artemio Franchi later in the evening.

The former Bayern Munich star Ribery spent 12 years with the Bundesliga giants having won it all with the club, he left the club in June after his contract with Bayern Munich expired. he parted ways to join Fiorentina and he has signed a two-year contract with the Italian team this afternoon.

Ribery joined Bayern in 2007 from Marseille ever since he signed for the club he won all the major trophy with nine Bundesliga titles, six German Cups and the Champions League in 2013. He made 81 caps and contributed 16 international goals for France.

Fiorentina almost relegated last season as they finish one step ahead of the relegation zone, Rocco Commisso, CEO of cable TV company Mediacom bought the club in June.

Fiorentina had a busy summer transfer window after completing the signing of Lazio midfielder Milan Badelj, Bologna’s Erick Pulgar and Sassuolo full-back Pol Lirola.
